Which networks raise prices in April, and by how much?

Since 17 January 2025, Ofcom has required networks to state mid-contract rises in pounds and pence before you sign. On O2 and Vodafone the rise applies to the airtime plan, while the device plan for the phone stays the same.

Mid-contract price rises for new phone contracts, as published by each network. Checked 24 October 2026.

Can I get a phone contract with bad credit?

EE, O2, Vodafone, Three and iD Mobile run a hard credit check on every phone contract, so a poor score can mean a refusal or a bigger upfront payment.

The reliable alternative is to buy the phone outright and pair it with a SIM only plan that needs no credit check, such as giffgaff, SMARTY, Lebara, VOXI or Asda Mobile.

Honor deal questions

What is the cheapest Honor deal right now?

The cheapest Honor on a 24-month contract today costs £267.96 in total, or £8.99 a month on iD Mobile. Prices change daily.

Is it cheaper to buy a Honor outright?

Often, if you can pay upfront: you avoid the yearly rise on the phone part and can choose a 30-day SIM only plan. Compare the outright price plus 24 months of SIM only with the contract total.

Do Honor contracts go up every April?

That depends on the network, not the phone. EE adds £4 a month every 31 March; O2 and Vodafone add £2.50 to the airtime plan; Three adds £1.80 to £2.30.

Can I get a Honor with bad credit?

The big networks run a hard credit check on phone contracts. Buying the phone outright and using a SIM only plan without a credit check, such as giffgaff or SMARTY, avoids it.
